San Antonio Spurs To Sign Two Players

The San Antonio Spurs are set to sign Tyler Johnson and Anthony Lamb to 10-day contracts.

It isn't surprising to see the Spurs add to their roster, as they currently have multiple players out in health and safety protocols. When remembering that they play on Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers, they need to have enough players ready to go for it.

Speaking of the 76ers, Johnson was just on a 10-day deal with them last week. In three games with the team, he averaged 3.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.7 assists. He also comes with a lot of overall NBA experience. In 351 career games between the Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn Nets, and 76ers, he has averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.

As for Lamb, he just played out his rookie season with the Houston Rockets last season. In 24 games with the team, the 23-year-old averaged 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. Lamb has also played this season in the G League as a member of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. In 13 contests with the team, he has averaged 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per contest.

Nevertheless, let's see how these two perform for the Spurs. If they do well, perhaps they could land themselves other NBA contracts from here.
