NBA Slaps Warriors Star With Fine

The NBA has reportedly fined Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green $25,000 for giving middle fingers to Grizzlies fans during Game 2, via Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Green made the gesture while walking back to the locker room after getting hit in the face by Xavier Tillman's elbow. The All-Star drew blood above his right eye as a result of the elbow and was also checked for a possible concussion. He did return to the game at the start of the second quarter.

Nonetheless, Green seemed more than willing to take the financial hit. Though the Warriors lost in Game 2, he admitted after the game that "it felt really good to flip them off," referring to the Grizzlies fans.

As the 32-year-old alluded to, he is also a part-time media member so, making up the 25-grand shouldn't be too hard.

This second-round series has been quite colorful for Green so far. He was ejected in Game 1 for a controversial flagrant foul penalty call and took a nasty hit on his eye last Tuesday.

Overall, this Warriors-Grizzlies matchup has been a physical affair so far. Just minutes before getting elbowed in the face, Green saw his teammate Gary Payton Jr. take a nasty blow to the head while going for a layup in mid-air from Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks.

Brooks was instantly ejected three minutes into the game and was suspended for Game 3 due to his actions.

The Warriors host the Grizzlies for Game 3 in San Francisco. With the way this series is playing out so far, this should be a fun one.
