Denver Nuggets To Re-Sign Crowd Favorite This Week

With an 8-0 record with him in the lineup, and Nikola Jokic's seal of approval, there wasn't much doubt that the Denver Nuggets would be re-signing DeMarcus Cousins for the rest of the season. Today, their intentions to do so were reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Cousins' third 10-day contract with the team expired over the weekend making him a free agent once again, but it was only a matter of time before they made the decision to keep him for the rest of season. As noted by Nuggets Insider Harrison Wind, it was a no-brainer.

Cousins has averaged 6.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in his 8 games with Denver, and the team has won each and every game.

Even reigning league MVP Jokic has been impressed, saying that Boogie has won him over.

“I love him," said The Joker. "He’s actually a really good guy. Fun to be around. Great personality... He proved me wrong.”
