NBA Rumors: Tyler Herro In For Huge Raise From Heat

Miami Heat Sixth Man of the Year Tyler Herro made $4M this past season; he's scheduled to earn $5.7M this coming year. But he's eligible for an extension, and the Heat are about to give him a massive raise.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the extension for Herro will come in at about $25M per year for four years ($100M total). It's not a 'max' contract, but it is a $20M annual raise... for a non-starter.

Herro earned the Sixth Man award by bumping up his numbers across the board to career highs, averaging 20.7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, while shooting 40% from behind the arc. All in about 32 minutes per game.

But Herro has starting on his mind as well. After the Heat's season ended, he was quoted as saying "I would like to start. It’s my fourth year, I think I’ve earned it. We’ll see what happens.”
