Kevin Durant Requests Trade From Brooklyn

Kevin Durant has reportedly requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Wow. Just when you thought the Nets drama has subsided after Kyrie Irving opted into his player option, Durant drops this bomb of a trade demand.

It goes without saying that nearly every team in the NBA should be interested in acquiring KD. As bad as this sounds for Brooklyn, they should be a table to get a historically colossal return for the two-time NBA Finals MVP. 

Durant and the Nets were swept in the first round of the 2022 NBA playoffs by the Boston Celtics.

The 33-year-old enters this upcoming season in the first year of a fresh four-year, $194.2 million contract he signed last summer.
