NBA Rumors: Raptors Were Offered A Haul For OG Anunoby

While everyone is watching the Toronto Raptors to see which way they go at the trade deadline, teams are already stepping up with offers for their key players. According to a report in the Toronto Star, they were offered a draft pick haul for OG Anonoby.

Raptors beat writer Bruce Arthur reports that one team has reached out to offer three first-round picks for OG, who is one of the top All-Defensive team candidates this season, and leads the league steals.

But are team president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster ready to blow it up and do a "near total re-set?" asks Arthur. He notes that Pascal Siakam, a solid candidate for his second consecutive All-NBA selection this season, would get an even bigger haul than Anunoby.

Fred VanVleet is also on the table, and he was linked today with a Western Conference contender who has some interest.

Anunoby this season is averaging a career-high 17.4 points (his average has increased in each of his six years in the league), along with an NBA-leading 2.1 steals per game. He's also shooting it at 36.4% from three-point range, a bit under his career 37% mark. One of the top 3-and-D wings in the game, he would be an immediate and significant boost to any contending team.
