NBA Rumors: Grizzlies Offering "Several 1st-Round Picks" For Two Players

The Kevin Durant trade is having a domino effect around the league as teams make their final moves before the 3:00pm ET trade deadline. With the Phoenix Suns loading up and becoming a true title contender, their rivals have to make a big move to keep up.
In Memphis, the Grizzlies are reported to be ready to pony up big-time draft capital for one of OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors or Mikal Bridges, now of the Brooklyn Nets.

According to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype:
Several teams called the Nets to gauge the potential availability of forward Mikal Bridges, league sources told HoopsHype. One of the most notable teams to call was the Memphis Grizzlies, who have been engaged in trade talks for another wing on the trade market, Toronto Raptors swingman OG Anunoby. In separate trade talks for Bridges and Anunoby, the Grizzlies have tried to entice the Nets and Raptors with several first-round picks for each player, league sources told HoopsHype.

Most are assuming that "several" first-rounders translates to "three."

As it happens, the Grizz have all of their first-round picks going forward and a Top 4 protected Warriors first-rounder for 2024. They can also dangle players like Canadian swingman Dillon Brooks and veteran 3-and-D man Danny Green—a former Raptors. Both of them are on expiring contracts.

The Grizzlies are currently sitting 2nd in the Western Conference at 33-21, and see a real opportunity here to win the West. But with the Durant addition to Phoenix, they're desperate to make an upgrade to keep up.
