Los Angeles Lakers Young Role Player Could Get Massive Contract Upgrade This Off-Season

Last night, Los Angeles Lakers young star Austin Reaves had a coming out party, as he put up 35 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the win over the Orlando Magic, and now it appears that he could get paid in a big way this off-season.

After a solid first-year with LA in 2021/22, he's taken his game to a new level in 2022/23, and at just 24 years of age, it appears the future is very bright, and now NBA Insider Shams Charania has confirmed that he could command a four-year, $50 million deal with the Lakers this off-season.

While it may seem like a lot for a role player, he has grown a lot over the past 12 months, improving his scoring, assists and shooting percentages across the board, and if he can continue that improvement, he'll no doubt be in the conversation for Sixth Man of the Year one day, and could even find his way into their starting lineup.
