Anthony Davis Declines Player Option With the Lakers

Anthony Davis has informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he is opting out of his contract and will become a free-agent.

The deal would have paid the elite forward $28.7 million for next season. At this point, it's still unclear if Davis will be re-signing an extension in Los Angeles but you have to consider the fact him and LeBron James appear to be a duo the league can't handle, Davis is likely not going anywhere.

The 27-year-old is in the prime of his career, averaging 26.1 points per game, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks during his 62 regular season games for the Lakers last year.

If Davis goes to market and listens to other teams, he instantly becomes the hottest name on the market.
