DONE DEAL: Thunder and 76ers Complete a Trade

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Oklahoma City Thunder have completed a trade that sends power forward Al Horford to the Thunder along with a first-round and second-round pick, in exchange for sharpshooter Danny Green.  

Green is on the move once again after the Lakers swapped him for Denis Schroder only days ago, meanwhile Thunder general manager, Sam Presti is trying to set a record for the most first-round draft picks in a five-year span.

There's certainly a chance Horford gets swapped again as the Thunder appear to be only interested in first-round picks and not winning basketball games next season. In Green, Doc Rivers gets himself a shooter for the wing, which is something the team has been lacking since the departure of JJ Redick.

Big financial savings with the 76ers

$18M toward the luxury tax for 2020-21 + $7.7M in salary

$42M in savings in 2021/22 and 2022/23 with the Horford contract off the books

Philadelphia will still have the $5.7M tax ML available in FA
