Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks Complete a Trade

Doc Rivers was recently named the new head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers and now he's about to make NBA history, after the Dallas Mavericks and 76ers completed a trade at Wednesday's Draft.

The Mavericks have sent Seth Curry to the 76ers in exchange for Josh Richardson and the rights to #36 overall draft pick, Tyler Bey out of Colorado.

Rivers now becomes the first head coach in NBA history to coach his son (Austin) and his son-in-law, Curry.

In Richardson, the Mavs acquire some defensive presence who should compliment Luka Doncic very well in Dallas and provide the team with some secondary scoring. Richardson averaged 13.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game last season.

The 76ers continue to add shooting after first trading for Danny Green and now Curry who is one of the leagues lethal shooters. Curry shot the three at a 45.2% clip last season in 64 games for the Mavs.

It's a family affair in Philly, and Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid will have a few more options when they kick the ball out next season.
