DeMarcus Cousins Can't Wait to Reunite with John Wall

DeMarcus Cousins spoke to the media on Thursday for the first time since signing a one-year contract with the Houston Rockets.

The big-man is looking to hit reset on his career and find a way to get over injuries troubles. It's now going to be even more easier to get amped for next season to start, because the Rockets reunited Cousins with his old college teammate/best friend, John Wall.

Needless to say, Boogie is ready.

It was a tough task, mentally, physically, but at the same time, I was able to rest my body and it was much-needed rest. Coming back off of that, I feel incredible, my body is in a great place, my mind is in a great place and I’m just ready to get back on the floor and play the game that I love.

It’s an incredible feeling. It’s something me and him planned and dreamed about for a long time. So I’m pretty sure he’s just grateful for his moment as I am.

Wall and Cousins go back to their youths when the two met around the time they were both 14-years-old. Wall stood up with Cousins at his wedding and that chemistry could provide us with some of the best pick-and-rolls in the league.

Don't sleep on a healthy Boogie Cousins. His career numbers are dominant, and if he's healthy and motivated, the sky is the limit. Cousins has played 565 NBA games, averaging 21.2 points per game, 10.9 rebounds. Most recently he started 30 games for the Golden State Warriors in 2018-19, and averaged 16 & 8.

Hopefully for Houston, Wall and Cousins mesh well with James Harden and there's plenty of basketball to go around.
