LeBron Goes OFF on his Former Team

The continued narrative of LeBron James defying father time is getting tired, but for a man for celebrated his 36th birthday less than a month ago playing in a league that plays faster each season, it's hard not to be impressed with his 46-point explosion against his old team, the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.

Playing in his old stomping grounds, King James made himself at home as he finished with a stat line of 46 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks with an efficient shooting night of 19-26 from the field and 7-11 from three.  The Lakers needed every last one of them too, as the Cavs actually had the lead at various times in the game, including the 4th quarter, where LeBron contributed to 25 of Los Angeles' 28 4th quarter points.

Seeing James hitting 3's from the logo, laughing his way through tightly-contested fadeaways, and even channelling his inner Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with a skyhook, has to have Lakers fans grinning ear-to-ear and planning their championship celebrations early, while the rest of the league will probably have trouble sleeping for the rest of the week.
