Rumor: Toronto Raptors Discussing Blockbuster Move

The Toronto Raptors could do the unthinkable according to multiple reports. Kyle Lowry's name has surfaced this week in trade rumors and from all accounts it certainly sounds like the Raptors have been internally discussing a big move.

While half of the Raptors management thinks Lowry needs to stick around for another contract and retire a Raptor as he's basically the franchise leader in almost everything, some according to Bleacher Report, think the team needs to move the point guard in his final year of his contract that's paying him $30,000,000 and get better suited for the future.

If the Raptors were actually ever to move Lowry, which honestly could happen as we all saw DeMar DeRozan get traded, it would be to the western conference as there is no chance in hell Raptors president Masai Ujiri wants to potentially face Lowry before the finals.

It would also make sense that even though Ujiri traded DeRozan, that he's one of the execs pushing for Lowry to stay even though he almost dealt Lowry to the Knicks a couple of years back.

Keep an eye on the Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies, and New Orleans Pelicans when it comes to a Lowry blockbuster deal. Interesting times for the Tampa Bay Raptors.
