Orlando Magic Trade Aaron Gordon to the Denver Nuggets

The Orlando Magic have pulled the trigger on a deal that sends forward Aaron Gordon to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Gary Harris among other pieces. This is the second blockbuster of the day for Orlando as they already sent all-star Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls.

The seven-year veteran has spent his entire career with the Magic and recently came out to let management know he would prefer to continue his career with another franchise. The change of scenery in Denver should be good for Gordon, as he looks to stay healthy down the stretch and into some meaningful playoff games.

In 25 games so far this season, the 25-year-old has averaged 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists. The high-flyer is able to provide some secondary scoring from either the three or the four and has the ability to be a decent defender at multiple positions and on the weak side. Gordon is signed through next season at $16.4 million

The Magic are 15-29 on the season and are now fully rebuilding. Adding Harris and Hampton to their mix provides them new elements and with the youngster Hampton, someone to build around moving forward.

The Magic have done well today to accumulate some assets for the future.

As for the Nuggets, they add Gordon and JaVale McGee for their playoff push. Not a bad day in Denver.
