Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder Complete a Trade

We have a trade to announce as the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder completed a minor deal on Friday. The swap sees the Thunder moving Hamidou Diallo to the Pistons for Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2027 second-round pick.

While this is certainly a 'minor' move compared to other trades we have seen this season, the Pistons feel Diallo will be a big piece for their young core given the right opportunity to play. The 2019 slam dunk champion will become a restricted free-agent this offseason and is set for a pay increase considering he's averaging career bests with 11.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

So far with the Piston Mykhailiuk is averaging 6.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in limited minutes in Motown. With potential for more minutes with the Thunder, his numbers could increase as we finish out this season.

Great to see some action on the NBA's transaction wire as we await some bigger deals closer to March 25th.
