Latest on the Raptors Trading PG Kyle Lowry

Toronto Raptor Kyle Lowry has found himself on numerous headlines regarding his future and by the sounds of it the team wants to make one thing clear - he's not going anywhere.

According to Josh Lewenberg of TSN, all teams who have inquired about trading for Lowry have been told by management recently that the franchise does not intend to trade him away, regardless of the package involved.

The phone's going to keep ringing but from all accounts it does sound like Lowry's going to stay put. He's averaging 17.8 points, 7.5 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals this season as the Raptors are trying to claw their way into playoff positioning.

The 34-year-old is a pending free-agent after this season and he's come out publicly and made it known regardless what happens with his next contract, he's going to retire a Toronto Raptor. 'I will retire as a Toronto Raptor.....one-day contract, hey, whatever happens'.

Good news for the #WeTheNorth fanbase as the Raptors try to get healthy and get back into the conversation in the east.
