Magic's Aaron Gordon Has Requested a Trade

The Orlando Magic have been informed by forward Aaron Gordon, he prefers to play somewhere else. The 25-year-old has this season and next season left on his contract, next season he's paid $16.4 million on the cap

The Magic set 14-28 on the season which is good for second last and Gordon wants a change of scenery, and is hoping he can get dealt to a playoff team.

So far this season the Arizona product is averaging 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, while shooting 44% from the field including 40% from deep.

The Magic will have until the 25th of March to deal Gordon and there's no shortage of interest from other teams. Gordon's been linked to the Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, and Golden State Warriors including names like Marcus Smart, John Collins and Kelly Oubre Jr.

One scenario for Gordon is him heading to the dismal Houston Rockets, who apparently have held serious discussions with the Magic and are offering two first-round picks. You'd have to feel for the guy from going to one of the worst teams in the east to one of the worst teams in the west.

We'll keep you posted on the latest as Gordon appears to be one star headed for change.
