Raptors and Celtics Talking Interesting Trade

It isn't often that rivals complete trades but it's sounding more and more like that could become the case between the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics.

According to multiple reports, the Raptors are trying hard to acquire power forward/center and Canadian, Tristan Thompson from the Celtics as they continue their search for help up front.

The 30-year-old Toronto native is signed for this season and next season at just under $10 million on the salary cap. In Thompson's first season in Bean Town he's averaging 7.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, playing roughly 22 minutes a night and starting 31 out of 36 games.

The Raptors are currently 17-22 and on the outside looking in at the playoff picture, which is unchartered waters for the franchise. There's no doubt Raptors management is trying to make a deal and they are in on Thompson and are monitoring the situation in Cleveland with Andre Drummond.

The Raptors have been trying to deal Arun Baynes, Patrick McCaw, Malachi Flynn and Terence Davis, while trying to hold onto Norman Powell and Chris Boucher in any trade talks.

Keep an eye on these two teams, they will be active the next week with moves.
