Celtics' Tristan Thompson Has a Message for Inappropriate Fans: 'I Dare a Motherf***er to Spit on Me'

Celtics big man Tristan Thompson pulled no punches when discussing the vile behaviour exhibited by a faction of fans thus far in this year's playoffs.

Thompson struck trepidation in the hearts of all fans, warning them that if they ever spat at him he would follow them to their house. This comment referencing the spitting incident involving Hawks star Trae Young. (The video below includes explicit language.)

The nine-year veteran's remarks are fresh off an inundation of egregious behaviour from fans across the league. Along with Trae Young being spat on at Madison Square Garden, a 76ers fan poured popcorn on Russell Westbrook as he exited Game 2 with an ankle injury. Moreover, Ja Morant's family were victims as vitriolic comments were spewed at them by fans in Utah. Fortunately, all perpetrators were banned from their respective arenas.

In light of Nets Star Kyrie Irving's highly anticipated return to Boston — this time with fans — he lamented that he hopes fans are respectful with their heckling. Thompson commented on the racist history of Boston faithful, stating that he's never experienced anything playing for the franchise — but donning an opposing uniform is a "different story."
