Sacramento Kings Rookie Out for the Season

The Sacramento Kings have announced rookie Tyrese Haliburton is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a left knee injury. The star-rookie avoided any major ligament damage after the MRI results were revealed, however the rehab needed is going to keep him off the court.

Haliburton exited the Kings' matchup on Sunday with the Dallas Mavericks during the third quarter after it appeared he hyperextended his left leg while falling to the floor. Haliburton needed assistance to get to the locker room.

It's been a fine season for the rookie who has been one of the bright spots for the Kings. He's averaged 13.0 points, 5.3 assists, 3.0 boards and 1.3 steals in just over 30 minutes per game. Haliburton can knock it down from deep as well, shooting nearly 41%, ranking 19th in the league amongst eligible players.

The Kings currently sit 28-37 on the season and have seven games remaining.
