Victor Oladipo Done for the Season

The Miami Heat will be carrying on this season without Victor Oladipo after the shooting-guard is set to undergo season-ending surgery on his right quad.

Needless to say it hasn't quite worked out for Oladipo after being traded to the Heat as he couldn't seem to stay on the court enough. He's been out since April 8th with the injury, and early reports don't have a timetable on how long he's expected to be out. It's likely he could not be ready for when training camp opens up next season.

The Heat acquired Oladipo from the Houston Rockets, and basically gave the two-time All-Star his wish, as Miami was reportedly his preferred destination as a free-agent this upcoming offseason. Instead of just waiting it out and signing him, the Heat gave up some assets and by the looks of things they should have just waited.

Oladipo only played in four games for the Heat, averaging 12 points, 3.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per night, which was way less than his production in Houston. On the season he finishes with a line of 19.8ppg, 4.8rpg, and 4.6apg in 33 contests.

Look for Oladipo to re-up in Miami, but given his track record with injuries, expect a three-year deal to be the max.
