Blockbuster: Lakers Acquire Russell Westbrook in 4-Player Deal

The Los Angeles Lakers have been pushing hard to give LeBron James and Anthony Davis another star player to help get them back to the promised land; today, they've landed Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers send Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and the No. 22 first-round pick in this year's draft to the nation's capital in return.

Harrell just today agreed to opt-in to his $9.7 million dollar contract for this season, which allowed this deal to happen.

The Lakers have been dangling Kuzma to several teams around the league, but fortunately for them, none of them came to fruition, allowing them to make this deal with the Wizards.

LA has also been close in other talks, on a deal that would send Kuzma and Harrell to the Sacramento Kings for Buddy Hield, but it seems that the chance to acquire Westbrook was too great.

Could Westbrook leaving D.C. also mean that Bradley Beal will be ready to move on as well? Beal has been seriously considering his future in Washington
