Sources: Pascal Siakam Available For Trade

Pascal Siakam trade rumors have been making the rounds since the end of the Toronto Raptors' season; now, according to NBA insider @JakeLFischer,  league sources are confirming that he is indeed "available".

From all accounts, it appears that the Raptors have been very active in trade talks, either moving up or down from their No. 4 pick in next week's NBA Draft.

Siakam's name has been tied to trade rumors involving the Golden State Warriors for some time now, while the new reports suggest they could package him along with the No. 4 pick to try to acquire a superstar like Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard.

The 27-year-old Siakam was a surprise late-first round pick for the Raptors in 2015, and he steadily improved his game year by year, to the point of being named the league's Most Improved Player in 2019—raising his scoring average from 7 PPG to 17 PPG—and playing the second scoring option to Kawhi Leonard on the way to the NBA championship.

Siakam's stock has fallen a bit, though, in the past year, as his 3-point shooting took a nose-dive from 36% in 2020 to just 29.7% this past season.

The Raptors have many options, and a lot of different ways they could go as they head into the most important Draft for the franchise in nearly 20 years, when they nabbed Chris Bosh at No. 4 in 2003.
