Team USA Humiliated Again in 2nd Straight Pre-Olympic Tune-Up

First, a shocking loss against little-heralded Nigeria, now a 2nd straight flop, this time against Australia, 91-83, and Team USA's Olympic Team is now an unprecedented 0-2 in tune-ups for the Tokyo Games, which begin in just ten days.

Australia features some NBA-caliber players, but not exactly in the Team USA class: Patty Mills, Joe Ingles, Matthew Dellavedova and Aron Baynes, aren't exactly Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum and Bradley Beal.

KD and Dame lead the first American team to lose two games in a row of any kind since professionals were allowed to compete 30 years ago.

In fact, Team USA had previously only lost two games—total—in those 30 years before these two back-to-back losses.

Coach Gregg Popovich said after the loss, "we have some guys that have to get our legs and rhythm back, but in general we need more conditioning."

Whether it's a case of being exhausted after playing a challenging season in the NBA, or, in some cases, players who had been off for two months since their teams were eliminated, they need to figure it out fast.
