Rumor: New York Knicks Want To Bring Back Carmelo Anthony

According to Jordan Schultz, the New York Knicks are interested in bringing back Carmelo Anthony to the team. It is important to note that Anthony has a strong relationship with Leon Rose, so a return may not be out of the question.

Anthony played seven seasons with the Knicks and was an All-Star in every single one of them. Although his tenure never resulted in a championship, he was a consistent offensive threat who had the ability to dominate. In 412 games with the Knicks, he averaged 24.7 PPG and led the league in scoring during the 2012-13 season .

At this stage of his career, Anthony is more of a role player, but can still contribute quite well off the bench. With the Portland Trail Blazers this past season, he averaged 13.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 69 total games. Given the fact that he also has a ton of overall experience, perhaps he could be a good mentor for a rising Knicks team.

We will where he ends up soon, but man, it would be so intriguing if it's back in New York.
