76ers Ben Simmons Addresses Doc Rivers and Medical Staff

The Ben Simmons saga continues in Philadelphia as the 76ers star met with head coach Doc Rivers and the team's medical staff to inform them he's not mentally prepared to play at the moment.

The news Friday came at a bit of a surprise as Simmons cited he has high expectations for his game and he isn't quite there yet and won't be suiting up anytime soon. Simmons will now undergo further testing and evaluations to determine what the proper next steps will be.

It's been a whirlwind few days as Simmons arrived finally to training camp. He's been unengaged since the get-go and at times during practice was seen on his phone or off in the corner doing his own thing. Day 2 he was kicked out for not being willing to participate in all the drills.

A trade doesn't appear to be close as 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey informed the media the only offers he's receiving is for role players and if that keeps up Simmons won't be leaving Philly anytime soon.
