Kuzma Changes Number, Excited for Fresh Start With Wizards

Kyle Kuzma will have a new look next season and it's not just strictly the jersey colors. The newcomer to the Washington Wizards is excited to get things started with his new team, and has decided to change numbers out of respect for Wizards' great Gilbert Arenas.

Kuzma wore 0 with the Los Angeles Lakers for several seasons and is now saying goodbye. You have to give him credit for the respect for Arenas and now you will find number 33 Kuzma jerseys hanging up on the shelves. The potential breakout star is excited for his new chapter in Washington and had this to say to the media about the jersey swap:

Out of respect for Gilbert Arenas. That was probably one of the biggest things. When you think of the Washington Wizards, honestly the first person I think of, because my generation, is Gilbert Arenas, Agent Zero. Obviously, that played a big part and having a fresh start. I just felt it was right

Arenas was with the Wizards for almost a decade and while he gave Russell Westbrook the Ok to wear 0 last season, the point guard decided on number 4 instead. Looks like everyone knows what Agent Zero has meant to the Wizards and keep an eye on Kuzma this season as he tries to get his career back on track with a bigger role in Washington.
