Nets' Kevin Durant Fined For Swearing At Fan

The NBA has fined Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant $25,000 for swearing at an opposing fan during Friday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The said incident occurred with under 30 seconds left in the second half. In a courtside video of it, one can hear the fan tell Durant to stop crying. From here, the 33-year-old would cuss at the fan.

It is easy to understand why Durant would be irritated with a fan heckling him. Yet, due to the fact that the audio of the exchange was caught on camera, it left him in a position where some sort of punishment was inevitable.

Even though Durant ended up being fined, he certainly had himself a strong performance against Atlanta that night. In 38 minutes played, he had 31 points, five rebounds and six assists. He also had the last laugh, too, as the Nets would defeat the Hawks by a 113-105 final score.

Overall, it's been another fantastic campaign for Durant, as he leads the league with 28.5 PPG. From now on, however, he should probably just ignore fans to avoid being fined again.
