Mavericks Keeping Forward Around

Theo Pinson has signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks to remain with the team.

Pinson previously was under two 10-day deals with Dallas, and clearly, he has impressed them enough to earn himself a stay with the franchise for the remainder of the season.

In 10 games this season with Dallas so far, Pinson has averaged 2.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Although he hasn't dominated, that's not too bad for a player who gets limited playing time. Clearly, the Mavericks noticed that.

Pinson also has a decent little chunk of NBA experience on his resume, too. In 78 career games between the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, and Mavericks, he has averaged 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Now, the door is open for him to receive more NBA time, and that's a big thing for the forward.

Pinson also has played quite well in the G League this season with the Maine Celtics. In 12 games, he's averaged 16.4 points, 4.4 assists, and 1.3 rebounds. Overall, that's not too shabby at all.
