NBA Rumors: Another Day, Another MASSIVE Package The Sixers "Aren't Interersted In"

The asking price that Philadelphia 76ers president Daryl Morey has set for Ben Simmons gets more and more ridiculous by the day. Today's doozy is that he has "no interest" in an offer floated by the Sacramento Kings that would have included previously untouchable Tyrese Haliburton, sharpshooters Buddy Hield AND Harrison Barnes PLUS two 1st-round picks.

According to Sixers insider Keith Pompey, his source says the package going to Sacramento would have been Simmons, Tobias Harris, and Matisse Thybulle. But, and this is becoming the standard response from Morey, "the Sixers aren’t interested in that package.”

Another source told Pompey that the Sixers hadn't received that as a formal trade offer, and that the 2nd team All-Defensive choice Thybulle is "close to being untouchable."

Meanwhile, Shams Charania of The Athletic is concurrently reporting that the Kings have told De'Aaron Fox that they do not want to trade him, and want to build around him and Haliburton.

And then a follow-up report from Sam Amick of The Athletic contradicts all of it, saying the Kings are definitely in on Simmons, but have no desire to take back Tobias Harris.

Yes, our heads are spinning as well.
