NBA Rumors: Dallas Mavericks Interested In These 2 Star Big Men

The Dallas Mavericks have been making their move in the standings, winning 8 of their last 10, and up to 5th now in the Western Conference. They undoubtedly see a window here, and with the trade deadline less than a month away, expect them to look to make a deal to fortify their playoff run.

NBA insider Marc Stein reports that the Mavs are "trying to get into the trade mix" for big men Myles Turner or John Collins.

Turner is a graduate of a Dallas-area high school, and would provide some much-needed rim protection, as well as another floor-spacer. He has flatly stated his unhappiness with his role in Indiana, and the Mavs have been mentioned before as a possible trade partner.

Collins is another big who is not content with his current standing, already blasting his Atlanta Hawks teammates, and complaining about his role. He's been rumored as a potential piece in the Hawks' talks with the Philadelphia 76ers on Ben Simmons, but the Mavs may try to circumvent that.

Stein also notes that two impending free agents on the Dallas roster, Jalen Brunson and Dorian Finney-Smith, are commanding a lot of interest on the trade front, and the Mavs are only expected to be able to re-sign one of them, and could include the other in a trade package.

Teams have 3 1/2 more weeks to work out deals.
