NBA Rumors: New Team Revealed In The Myles Turner Trade Sweepstakes

If the Indiana Pacers are ready to divest themselves of center Myles Turner, we already know that there are several teams who are clamoring to obtain the 25-year-old rim protector. On Monday we revealed the four teams most involved in Turner talks. Today, we learn that the Minnesota Timberwolves are interested as well.

KTSP Minnesota insider Darren Wolfson reports that T-Wolves president Sachin Gupta definitely wants to upgrade his roster, and "Myles Turner is very much in the Wolves mix. They have talked to Indiana."

Turner would make for an interesting pairing with Karl-Anthony Towns, bringing in another big to protect the rim and offer a low-post presence when Towns wanders out of the paint.

The Wolves are definitely looking to make some moves; they have also been active in the Ben Simmons talks. According to NBA insider Brian Windhorst, "the Wolves have pretty much offered every asset package they could offer for Ben Simmons — every available player and every available draft pick — except for Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards."

With all picks and other players on the table, if they can't secure Simmons, the Wolves should certainly have enough to offer the Indiana Pacers for Turner.

Minnesota is definitely a team to keep an eye on in the next four weeks leading up to the trade deadline.
