NBA Rumors: Pacers Want "All-Star" In Return For Big Man; Kings Take Their Shot

With Myles Turner's value heading south due to a "stress reaction" in his foot, the Indiana Pacers have apparently stepped up the price for their other big man on the trade market, Domantas Sabonis.

"League sources told The Athletic they are asking for an All-Star in return for Domantas Sabonis," wrote Jared Weiss. And they have received offers that match that criteria, according to another source

The Sacramento Kings have Sabonis (and Ben Simmons) squarely on their radar, as we reported yesterday. The Kings are now ready to put De'Aaron Fox on the table, after declaring before the season that he and Tyrese Haliburton were untouchable.

Fox is indeed now being offered in a Sabonis deal, according to the Sacramento Bee's Jason Anderson. Fox is in the first year of a 5-year, $163M contract, and says he isn't surprised to hear his name come up in conversations.

“In most sports, most players come up in trade talks,” Fox said. "Obviously, you don’t have too many people who are really untouchable, so you always know something can happen.”

But the big question here is would the Pacers consider Fox an "all-star"? He hasn't yet achieved that level in the NBA, and it's doubtful that Indiana brass considers him as such.

But maybe, just maybe, you throw in one of the league's best sharpshooters, Buddy Hield, and you may be on to something.

Surely, Sacramento is also using the same pieces to try to extract Ben Simmons from Philadelphia, so it remains to be seen who bites at that offer.
