NBA Rumors: Timberwolves May Trade Veteran Guard

According to Michael Rand of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Minnesota Timberwolves may end up trading Patrick Beverley by the deadline.

The Timberwolves are in a very interesting spot at this juncture of the season. They currently sport a 21-22 record and are ninth in the Western Conference. With this, they are still technically in the playoff hunt, but also look like a team that isn't destined to go on a long run, either. Due to this, it may not be a bad idea for them to sell rather than buy.

Beverley has started in 26 out of his 30 games played this season. In them, he has averaged 9.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. It's safe to say that he provides a little bit of everything when on the court, so he could be an excellent addition for a contender. Due to this, there should be plenty of interest around the league for his services.

Time will tell what Minnesota's approach will be during the deadline. Until then, it is certainly possible that we could see Beverley moved before the end of the season.
