Celtics Sign Forward to Multiyear Deal

The Boston Celtics have signed forward Juwan Morgan to a multiyear deal, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Morgan has appeared in two NBA games, signing 10-day deals with both the Celtics and the Toronto Raptors at some point during the season.

He played 27 minutes as a Raptor back in December and tallied five points, four rebounds, and one assist. His second NBA game this season came just last week when he got three garbage time minutes in the Celtics' 144-102 win over the Washington Wizards.

The 6-foot-7 forward has spent most of the 2021-22 season with Boston's G-League affiliate, the Maine Celtics. In 20 games, Morgan averaged 12.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, with nearly a block and a steal a game.

The Indiana Hoosier went undrafted in 2019 before signing with the Utah Jazz's mini-camp roster. He started the season as part of Utah's G-League affiliate, Salt Lake City Stars, and the Jazz's opening night roster.

Morgan played 50 games with the Jazz in two seasons from 2019-20 to 2020-21.
