NBA Rumors: Suns Big Man Wants To Stay In Phoenix

The Phoenix Suns suffered an embarrassing Game 7 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference semifinals, but at least one of their big men has stated his interest in returning. JaVale McGee told Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com that he loved his time in Phoenix and is definitely up for another go of it.

“Definitely consider it, definitely consider an opportunity,” he said. “At this point in my career, I’m definitely focused on myself and what’s best for me and my situation and my family. I know what I bring to a team if it’s any organization that I go to. For me, that’s what it’s all about. Make sure I’m valuing myself as much as the team (is) valuing me.”

McGee is an unrestricted free agent this summer, and the 34-year-old McGee already has 3 NBA rings, so he's all about finding the best fit.

In 74 games for the Suns this season, McGee averaged 9.2 points and 6.7 rebounds in just about 16 minutes per game.

The Suns' other two centers are also in limbo this offseason, as starter Deandre Ayton is a restricted free agent, while Bismack Biyombo is a UFA.
