Forbes Report: LeBron James Is Now Officially A Billionaire

Back in 2014, already a mega-superstar worldwide businessman and celebrity, LeBron James said in a GQ interview that becoming a billionaire is “my biggest milestone.” According to Forbes, that's officially become a reality.

At the age of 37, Forbes says that LeBron now has an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion dollars, becoming the first active NBA player to reach that milestone.

$385M of the total has come from his earnings as a player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers, while his endorsements and business investments have accounted for a whopping $900M, according to Forbes.

His endorsements include the likes of Nike, AT&T, PepsiCo and Walmart, while his business ventures include Spring Hill entertainment company, athlete platform Uninterrupted, and the Fenway Sports Group among many others.

The only other NBA player to reach these dizzying financial heights is—duh—Michael Jordan. He reached the Billionaire Club, however, in 2014, more than a decade after his playing days were done.
