NBA Executive RIPS Shaedon Sharpe: "Show Me The 5-Star Sh*t!"

Mock drafts currently have 2021 5-star recruit Shaedon Sharpe going in the No. 5 range in this year's draft. But there are some who seriously question taking him that high. Sharpe enrolled at Kentucky in January of this year, but didn't play a single game for the Wildcats.

The most outspoken comments yet have emerged from an anonymous NBA executive, who held nothing back in his assessment of Sharpe's draft stock:

"How the f**k can you be the fifth pick in the draft if you haven't played in a year-and-a-half? It's not like it's [James] Wiseman and the guy is 7 feet tall. Show me where the five[-star] sh*t is. Show me!" a Western Conference exec told David Aldridge of The Athletic on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old from Canada is certainly the "mystery man" of this draft, and this isn't the first time this spring that his draft stock has been questioned.

There's no doubt that Sharpe has all the tools: he's athletic and he can shoot, but the lack of reps against top competition has some running scared.

The latest mock draft on NBA.com has him going at No. 6 to the Indiana Pacers; Yahoo Sports has him going at No. 5 to the Detroit Pistons.
