NBA Rumors: 2 More Teams Emerge As Potential OG Anunoby Trade Suitors

OG Anunoby has been a hot name around the rumor mill as several teams are reportedly interested in acquiring the 6-foot-7 forward from the Toronto Raptors. According to Matt Moore of The Action Network, the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets have emerged as potential trade suitors for Anunoby this upcoming offseason.

The Spurs are always a team that likes taking in underrated talent. And Anunoby is one of the more under-the-radar players in the NBA.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets could use him as a 3-and-D option to support Nikola Jokic as Denver aims to go for a championship next season when the team comes back healthier and whole.

Previous reports indicated the Portland Trail Blazers and the Utah Jazz as two teams with interest in the 24-year-old.

The Blazers would like to retool and surround Damian Lillard with as much talent as possible. Meanwhile, the Jazz have reportedly been exploring the trade market for All-Star big man Rudy Gobert, who could be a possible trade target for the Raptors.

There have been rumblings that Anunoby had grown frustrated with his role in Toronto. With Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet as the lead handlers, along with the emergence of Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes, Anunoby had been relegated to becoming a fourth option at best.

Nonetheless, he still averaged a career-best 17.1 points and 5.5 rebounds, though on career-worst efficiency of 44.3 percent field goal shooting.

But despite these trade rumors surrounding Anunoby, Raptors President Masai Ujiri is reportedly fond of the former Indiana standout.
