NBA Rumors: Leading Candidate Emerges For Jazz Job

After 15 interviews, the Utah Jazz are edging closer to finding a new head coach. According to a new report, a leading candidate has now emerged, out of the Boston Celtics organization. Assistant Will Hardy is said to be one of those that Danny Ainge and the Jazz brain trust are strongly considering.

Hardy was previously an assistant under Gregg Popovich, before heading to Boston to take a similar role under Ime Udoka.

According to Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake City Tribune, Hardy has emerged as one of the leaders in the race to fill the role vacated by Quin Snyder, who stepped away from the Utah head coaching position after much consideration earlier this month.

Larsen also tabs Phoenix Suns assistant Kevin Young as a strong candidate. The 40-year-old was an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers from 2017-20, before joining Monty Williams's staff in Phoenix.
