NBA Rumors: Presumed No. 4-5 Pick Jaden Ivey Gives Knicks Shout Out

Purdue's Jaden Ivey is considered the best pure point guard in Thursday's NBA Draft. He's currently slated, in most mock drafts, to be going No. 4 or 5, which, at the moment, would be the Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons' draft slots, respectively.

But Ivey has thrown some love the New York Knicks' way, saying he'd be "honored" to be a Knick. And we know that point guard is a position the Knicks would love to target.

"A tremendous organization, the New York Knicks," said Ivey. "I'd be honored to be able to play there. I could help them win if they drafted me."

The Knicks currently own the No. 11 pick, and they'd have to work out a deal to move up to No. 4 or 5.

We've already heard that Sacramento is not a "preferred destination" for Ivey, and he hasn't had any communication with them. In fact, he's only worked out for two teams, the Orlando Magic (1st pick) and the Pistons (5th pick).

Reports over the past week or so had the Kings prepared to trade down from No. 4 for a 'win-now' piece, but that may have changed, as they seem to be digging in their heels a bit more on clinging to that pick.
