NBA Rumors: Several Contenders Vying For Free Agent PJ Tucker

Interest in free agent forward P.J. Tucker is heating up. Word from Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes is that "several" prominent teams will be vying for the hard-nosed defender.

The Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as strong suitors, joining the Chicago Bulls, whose interest was expressed yesterday

Despite the image above, Tucker is great friends – “brothers,” in his words – with Nets star Kevin Durant.

The 36-year-old Tucker also might have a tough time turning down a rumored offer from the Sixers.

Sixers beat writer Keith Pompey is reporting that Philly will be offering Tucker a 3-year contract worth $30M.

He became an unrestricted free agent yesterday after declining his $7.3M player option. It is expected that the Heat, however, will make every effort to re-sign him.
