NBA Rumors: Top 3 Free Agent Centers

Open season on free agents is less than two weeks away, and there are a number of big names available. There are also a number big men available. Here's a look at the top 3 free agent centers that could be up for grabs.

Deandre Ayton

Much has been said and written about the Phoenix Suns' restricted free agent. He wants the max, and was perturbed when the Suns didn't offer him the rookie max extension last season. The team won't let him go for nothing though. Any team that plans to offer him a max contract would need to work out a sign-and-trade with Phoenix.

Chris Boucher

Boucher can run the floor, block shots, and (sometimes) space the floor. He does have a thin frame though to play exclusively at center. It's thought that the Toronto Raptors won't let him go without a fight, however, as he played a huge role for them this past season off the bench.

Mitchell Robinson

He could be an unrestricted free agent, and at only 24, the New York Knicks' athletic rim protector has some impressive shot-blocking credentials.

He is one of just four players in NBA history to block more than 450 shots and shoot above 55% over his first 230 games. The Knicks have until June 30 to offer him a four-year, $55M extension or he's up for grabs on the free agent market.

Mo Bamba is another name that has intrigued many of late, especially after upping his 3-point shooting to the 38% mark this past season. He could be a good under-the-radar pickup for a team looking for a shot-blocker and a target at the rim.
