NBA Rumors: Wizards Open To Dealing No. 10 Pick in Draft

The Washington Wizards hold the No. 10 pick in this month's NBA Draft, and word is that they are making it available in trade talks.

ESPN's Jonathan Givony reports, in his latest mock draft, that the Wizards need to upgrade their backcourt "after cycling through a cascade of guards this past season." He posits that if they keep the pick, it could be used to grab Wisconsin point guard Johnny Davis.

But they seem to be a little more interested in getting a guard with a bit more experience, as he notes that "this pick is widely assumed to be available in trade talks, in exchange for a proven backcourt player."

The big question, of course, is whether that new backcourt player—proven or otherwise—will get to play alongside longtime Wizards star Bradley Beal. The impending free agent has a big decision to make this offseason, and it would certainly behoove the Wiz to ensure they have a solid guard to step in, just in case.
