NBA Rumors: Two Teams Linked Consistently To Deandre Ayton

The Deandre Ayton market seems to be a two-team race at this point, and it appears that any deal involving the Phoenix Suns' center to the Brooklyn Nets for Kevin Durant may be in jeopardy as well.

"The only teams I've heard linked to (Ayton) at all, consistently, are Toronto and Indiana. And Toronto can't give him an offer sheet, it would have to be a sign and trade scenario," said Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer on his Please Don't Aggregate This podcast.

As for the Pacers, they do have the cap space to give Ayton a max offer sheet, and those in and around the Arizona sports scene are hearing this is a distinct possibility—maybe even imminently.

"I do believe we are close to a resolution on Deandre Ayton maybe even by tomorrow," said Arizona sports radio's John Gambadoro, expecting that the Pacers will be handing out the offer sheet.

The fallout from such an occurrence on the KD situation would be staggering for the Suns. "The one thing I would definitively believe is that... a max offer sheet (to Ayton) would really hurt Phoenix's chances of getting Kevin Durant," according to Fischer.

Safe to say that a lot of dominos are waiting on other dominos, before they fall.
