Pacers Shut Down Lottery Pick For Remainder Of Summer League

The No. 6 overall pick in the NBA Draft has been shut down for the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League.

The Indiana Pacers say that Bennedict Mathurin is being withheld from the rest of Summer League "for precautionary reasons due to a sore left big toe".

Mathurin has been excelling in Vegas, averaging 19.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in three games, while shooting 38.5% from three-point range and 48.8% overall. His 19.3 points was 3rd-best among rookies, while playing just 22.4 minutes per game.

Mathurin had one of the nastiest dunks of the NCAA Tournament this year, and now's as good a time as any to relive it:

Bringing the house down, indeed.

Indiana has also decided to hold Isaiah Jackson and Terry Taylor out of the rest of the Summer League schedule.
