Kevin Durant Gives Nets Blatant Ultimatum

Kevin Durant has had his meeting with Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai, and he apparently gave him an ultimatum: If KD stays, then the pairing of GM Sean Marks and head coach Steve Nash has to be fired.

NBA Insider Shams Charania said Durant reiterated his trade request, in saying that “he does not have faith in the Nets’ direction."

The meeting, says Charania, was "transparent and professional", but "with a clear message: Keep me -- or the GM and coach."

He says that the Nets are now fully aware that the 12-time All-Star "will continue to be resolute in his stance".

Durant is about to enter the first year of a 4-year, $198M extension, and the question now, with trade talks with all teams stalled due to the Nets' steep demands, is will KD hold out of training camp?

Charania says his sources tell him that the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat remain the most significant candidates to acquire Durant in a trade.
