NBA Rumors: These 6 Teams Chasing Donovan Mitchell

With Kevin Durant off the table, Donovan Mitchell becomes the No. 1 trade target for teams looking to land a superstar this summer. And while the New York Knicks have dominated the Mitchell conversation thus far, they aren't the only teams in discussions with the Utah Jazz.

According to Phoenix sports personality John Gambadoro, the five other teams that are interested are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Washington Wizards and the Charlotte Hornets.

He disputes any previous reports that listed the Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks or Sacramento Kings as being Mitchell suitors.

It's worth noting, however, as pointed out by Fred Katz of The Athletic, that other teams who had been "in" on the Durant sweepstakes could pivot their assets to Spida.

Katz notes that the Durant suitors would already have some serious pieces they were willing to deal, and could turn their attention to using them on the 25-year-old Mitchell.

Jazz CEO Danny Ainge has set an extremely high price for his 3-time All-Star. After he was able to score five first-round picks for Rudy Gobert, he's apparently demanding at least 4 unprotected first-rounders and perhaps other protected picks as the main part of a return package.
