Former Raptor Wants To Stay In NBA

He put on a show for Ukraine at EuroBasket, and former Toronto Raptor Svi Mykhailiuk says he still believes he's an NBA-quality player.

The free agent was waived by the Raptors two weeks ago, but the free agent says despite interest from European clubs, he's prioritizing returning to the NBA first.

He averaged 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals in six games at EuroBasket; Ukraine was eliminated by Poland in the round of 16.

Still only 25, Mykhailiuk has spent the last four seasons in the NBA, most recently in Toronto, where he had a disappointing year, averaging 4.6 points, and shooting just 30.6% from distance.

His career marks in the league peg him as a 35% shooter from deep, while averaging 6.6 points in 17 minutes per game.

Mykhailiuk has also played for the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

He hasn't ruled out playing in the G League this season as a way back into the NBA.
